Victor Ravelo rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns, but Central A&M–Okaw Valley’s postseason run ended Saturday with a 28–13 loss to Flora.
The Raiders trailed by just one point at halftime and remained within one possession during the third quarter. Flora, however, scored the game’s final two touchdowns to pull away and advance in the playoffs.
After a scoreless first quarter, Flora opened the scoring in the second on Kormik Massie’s 4-yard touchdown run. Mateus Tricerri added the extra point for a 7–0 lead.
Central A&M answered with a 1-yard touchdown run by Ravelo. The Raiders were unable to convert the extra point, leaving Flora ahead 7–6 at halftime.
The third quarter brought an exchange of touchdowns. Flora quarterback Thane Warren connected with Kehlin Crawford for a 12-yard score, then found Gage Dugan for the two-point conversion to extend the lead to 15–6.
Ravelo responded with his second touchdown, scoring from 3 yards out. Pablo Navascues Casamayor’s extra point brought the Raiders back within two at 15–13.
Flora answered with the game’s longest scoring play, a 61-yard touchdown pass from Warren to Crawford. Tricerri’s extra point gave the Wolves a 22–13 advantage entering the fourth quarter.
Warren added a 4-yard rushing touchdown in the final period, while Flora held Central A&M scoreless over the closing quarter to secure the victory.
Ravelo anchored the Raiders’ offense, averaging 6.2 yards across 24 carries. He also caught six passes for 38 yards, finishing with 187 yards from scrimmage and accounting for both Central A&M touchdowns.
Emett Stenger contributed 43 rushing yards on five attempts, while quarterback Rhett McLain added 31 yards on seven carries. The Raiders finished with 222 rushing yards and 386 yards of total offense.
McLain completed 21 of 35 passes for 164 yards with two interceptions. Ace Spinner led the receiving group with eight catches for 71 yards. Aiden Sites added six receptions for 42 yards, and Stenger caught one pass for 13 yards.
Central A&M collected 20 first downs and held possession for 25 minutes, 22 seconds. Turnovers complicated the Raiders’ effort, however, as they lost two fumbles in addition to the two interceptions.
Defensively, Owyn Bowman led Central A&M with seven solo tackles and seven assists, including two tackles for loss. Cameron Taylor recorded five solo stops and three assists, while Jhett Smith added three solo tackles and five assists.
Max Taylor finished with two solo tackles, five assists and one tackle for loss. Ravelo and Chaz Braundmeier each contributed two tackles for loss, giving the Raiders several defensive plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Sites also supplied 70 yards on four kickoff returns and a 3-yard punt return.
Central A&M stayed close through much of the afternoon behind Ravelo’s production and a balanced offensive effort. Flora’s two touchdown connections between Warren and Crawford, followed by Warren’s fourth-quarter scoring run, ultimately provided the separation that ended the Raiders’ season.
