The Clinton Lady Maroons enjoyed a big Saturday on the hardwood, putting together two impressive victories to move into championship contention.
Clinton opened the day in cruise control with a 63–33 win over Ridgeview. The Maroons were balanced and efficient offensively, placing three players in double figures. Carly Anderson led the way with 17 points, while Clara Dempsey and Lilah Cluver each added 16. Clinton’s pace, ball movement, and defensive pressure set the tone early and never allowed Ridgeview to find a rhythm.
In their second and final pool play game, Clinton turned up the intensity even more, rolling past Warrensburg-Latham to secure a perfect 3–0 mark and a spot in the championship game. Carly Anderson delivered a standout performance, pouring in 31 points, while Lilah Cluver followed with 20 in another strong showing for the Maroons. Clinton controlled the game from start to finish, showcasing depth, confidence, and momentum on both ends of the floor.
With two dominant wins in one day, the Lady Maroons advance to the championship game, scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday night, riding plenty of momentum and high-level play.
