The 2025 South Fork Ponies didn’t just have a great season—they created a story that felt straight out of a movie. A team that was always counted out, labeled the underdog, and overlooked by just about everyone outside their own town… yet they rose higher than anyone expected.
South Fork finished the season with a remarkable 11–1 record, earning the title of South Division Champions and delivering the greatest year the program has ever seen. And they did it with a roster built not on hype, but on heart.
Leading the way was a quarterback who had never played a down of football until this season. From day one, he stepped into the huddle with confidence, grew every week, and became the steady leader this team needed. Behind him was the engine of the offense—the best running back in the state, a player who turned every touch into a highlight and every game into a show worth watching.
Together, they fueled a season no one expected.
Then came the moment that changed everything: South Fork won its first-ever quarterfinal game, punching a historic ticket to the state semifinals. For the first time in school history, the Ponies were among the final four teams standing. It was the kind of moment that gave you chills—the kind of moment that doesn’t just happen. It’s earned.
And through it all, the community was there. The stands were full, the town was buzzing, and the support never wavered. This group of boys gave everything they had, and in return, South Fork wrapped around them with pride, love, and unwavering belief.
This season wasn’t just successful.
It was unforgettable.
It was historic.
It was South Fork.
Well done, Ponies. You gave your community something they will remember forever.
