The Pana Lady Panthers girls basketball team earned a hard-fought 58–51 victory over the North Mac Panthers during holiday tournament action.
Pana faced early adversity, trailing for much of the first half as North Mac controlled the boards and capitalized on second-chance opportunities. The Lady Panthers struggled with rebounding in the opening half, making it difficult to build momentum despite strong defensive effort.
Coming out of halftime, Pana responded with renewed energy and determination. The Lady Panthers tightened up defensively, improved their presence on the glass, and found a rhythm offensively. Their second-half push allowed them to take control of the game, grabbing the lead before the end of the third quarter.
In the final frame, the Lady Panthers stayed composed and continued to battle, protecting their lead with key defensive stops and timely baskets. Pana closed out the game to secure the 58–51 win and continue their holiday tournament run.
