Monticello Sweeps ALAH as Lady Sages and Sages Pick up WIN.

Monticello basketball enjoyed a successful stretch as both the Lady Sages and Sages picked up convincing victories over Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond (ALAH).

On the girls side, the Monticello Lady Sages improved to 6–3 on the season with a dominant 64–33 win over ALAH. Monticello controlled the tempo early and continued to build separation throughout the night, allowing the benches to empty late as every player saw minutes.

Sarah Cresap led the Lady Sages with 17 points, while Lexi Leatherwood recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Ali Weidner and Mady Melton also finished in double figures, scoring 12 points apiece.

The Lady Sages return to action Thursday night at home against Warrensburg-Latham at 7:00 PM before traveling to St. Teresa on Saturday for an 11:30 AM matchup.

On the boys side, the Monticello Sages earned their second straight win, improving to 4–1 on the season with a 59–41 victory over ALAH. After a slow opening quarter that saw Monticello lead by just one, the Sages responded by outscoring the Knights 14–2 in the second quarter and never looked back.

Matthias Rudolph led Monticello for the fourth time this season with 17 points. Gus Reppert followed up his career-high performance from Friday with 13 points and went a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line. For ALAH, Will Hilligoss scored 15 points and Brennon Hutson added 12.

The Sages are back in action Saturday at home against Sullivan at 4:30 PM before hosting the annual Monticello Holiday Hoopla Tournament on December 26th, 27th, and 29th.
