The contest was a true team effort, with five different players contributing to the scoring attack. Owen Beyers led the way with a game-high 23 points, shooting an efficient 8-of-13 from the field and knocking down three triples. Beyers helped the Rams take a 25–19 lead into halftime after a strong second quarter, but his biggest impact came late.
After Meridian surged ahead 45–40 late in the fourth quarter, Beyers ignited a crucial comeback by burying a three-pointer and following it with a tough two-point basket to tie the game at 45–45, swinging momentum back in the Rams’ favor.
Meridian made its push earlier in the second half, using an 8-point run in the third quarter to grab a 38–36 lead — their first since the opening quarter. The Rams responded with poise in the final frame, leaning on depth and timely execution. Karson Bruns drilled a clutch three-pointer to give the Rams a 48–47 advantage, then sealed the win at the free throw line, finishing with nine points.
Brady Clark provided efficient minutes, scoring seven points on 3-of-4 shooting, while Ezra McConnell added eight points with strong interior play. Brady Brinkoetter chipped in eight points, and Ayson Fisher made his presence felt late, knocking down key free throws in the fourth quarter.
