Edinburg Flips the Script After Half to Top Central A&M

Tale of two halves Tuesday night as the Edinburg Wildcats went on the road and earned a 52–45 victory over Central A&M, using a dominant defensive effort after halftime to secure the win.

Central A&M set the early tone, controlling the pace in the opening half and building a seven-point advantage at the break. The Raiders executed well offensively, with Talon Rhodes leading the way. Rhodes finished with 16 points as Central A&M carried momentum into the locker room.

Edinburg responded immediately in the second half by elevating its defensive pressure. The Wildcats disrupted passing lanes, forced turnovers, and converted those opportunities into transition points. That defensive intensity shifted the momentum of the contest and allowed Edinburg to seize control.

Miles Norris led all scorers with 18 points, providing timely baskets throughout the second-half run. Central A&M struggled to establish offensive rhythm after the break and was unable to match Edinburg’s tempo on both ends of the floor.

The Wildcats remained composed down the stretch, closing out a 52–45 road win. The second-half defensive performance proved decisive, snapping Edinburg’s losing streak and giving the Wildcats a confidence-building victory away from home.
