The Clinton Maroons and Central A&M squared off in a CIC Tournament showdown on February 4th, with the two teams trending in opposite directions entering the night. Clinton came in red-hot, while Central A&M was searching for momentum—and it showed early.
Despite a delayed start, the Maroons wasted no time asserting control. Led by the dynamic duo of Keaton Graves and Jayden Bell, Clinton came out firing on all cylinders. Their offense was clicking from the opening tip, and their defensive pressure kept the Raiders off balance throughout the first half. By the time the horn sounded at halftime, Clinton had built a commanding 40–15 lead and firmly planted themselves in the driver’s seat.
Central A&M showed fight after the break, rallying behind Ace Spinner, who delivered a memorable performance by scoring his 1,000th career point—a milestone worthy of recognition. The Raiders played with renewed energy in the second half, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.
Clinton stayed composed, matched every run, and maintained control down the stretch. When the final buzzer sounded, the Maroons walked away with a 63–46 victory.
With the win, Clinton continues its strong run and now turns its attention to a tough matchup against Tuscola tomorrow, with a spot in the CIC Championship Game on the line. The Maroons are rolling—and they’ll look to keep it that way
