Wildcats Explode Early, Cruise Past Rams 13-1

The Edinburg Wildcats wasted no time taking control and never looked back, rolling to a commanding 13-1 victory over the Ramsey Rams in dominant fashion.

Edinburg set the tone immediately, scoring in the top of the first inning before erupting for six runs in the second to build a comfortable lead. The Wildcats continued to pile on with four more runs in the sixth and added three in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

A balanced offensive attack powered Edinburg, which collected seven hits while taking advantage of patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning. The Wildcats drew eight walks and swiped eight bases to keep constant pressure on Ramsey’s defense.

Noah Clark led the way, finishing with two hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs. Cash O’Connell added a strong performance with two hits, two runs, and an RBI, while Brody Pop reached base multiple times, scored once, drove in three runs, and stole two bases.

Marshall Brandon delivered a hit, scored twice, and stole three bases, while Michael Foli added a hit and RBI. Colton Puccetti chipped in two hits and scored once as nearly every spot in the lineup contributed.

The Wildcats were especially sharp on the bases, with Brandon, Pop, Hudson Hout, Cash O’Connell, and Puccetti all recording stolen bases during the game.

On the mound, Noah Clark turned in a strong start, working six innings while allowing just six hits and one run. He struck out three and kept Ramsey from mounting any sustained rally. Hudson Hout closed the door with a scoreless inning of relief, striking out two.

Defensively, Edinburg stayed steady behind its pitchers and overcame a pair of errors with timely outs and consistent execution.

With the win, the Wildcats showcased their speed, depth, and all-around offensive firepower — a combination that will make them a difficult matchup moving forward.
