Rockets Lift Off on Senior Night

The Rochester Rockets delivered a memorable performance on Senior Night, defeating the Springfield Southeast Spartans 70–58 on Friday, February 6, at the RAC. With family, friends, and fans filling the stands, Rochester’s seniors took the floor one last time at home and rose to the occasion.

Springfield Southeast came out strong in the opening minutes, jumping out to an early six-point run. Rochester quickly responded with a three-pointer to get on the board, igniting momentum that carried through the remainder of the quarter. The Rockets closed the first frame in dramatic fashion, knocking down a buzzer-beater to take a narrow lead.

The second quarter featured a back-and-forth battle as the Spartans attempted to cut into Rochester’s advantage with aggressive play. The Rockets answered with crisp ball movement, strong team chemistry, and efficient shooting. By halftime, Rochester had built a 38–29 lead and firmly seized control of the game.

Rochester maintained that control throughout the second half. The Spartans made a push in the third quarter, briefly threatening the Rockets’ lead, but turnovers and missed rebounds halted the rally. Rochester capitalized, quickly extending the margin once again.

As the game grew more physical, shooting fouls increased, but the Rockets stayed composed and continued to execute on both ends of the floor. By the end of the fourth quarter, Rochester sealed the Senior Night victory with a 70–58 final score.

Friday night was a celebration of four years of hard work, dedication, and growth for Rochester’s seniors. The Rockets showed the results of countless hours of practice and sacrifice, giving the home crowd a performance to remember.

Congratulations to the Rochester seniors on a special night, and best of luck as they take the next steps in their journeys.
