Lady Maroons Stay Red Hot, Roll Past Tuscola for 13th Straight Win

The Clinton Lady Maroons continued their dominant run on Tuesday night, defending their home court and extending their winning streak to 13 games with an impressive victory over Tuscola. The atmosphere was electric as the entire Clinton band filled the gym, bringing energy and support that helped fuel another strong performance.

Clinton set the tone right from the opening tip. Carly Anderson scored the first basket of the game, and the Lady Maroons never looked back. Clara Dempsey took control in the first half, pushing the tempo on the fast break and creating scoring opportunities that helped Clinton build a comfortable early lead.

Lilah Cluver caught fire from the perimeter, knocking down a big three-pointer and confidently telling a teammate, “I’m on fire right now,” as she headed back on defense. Her scoring surge added to an already balanced offensive attack.

While the offense was clicking, it was Clinton’s defense that truly separated them. The Lady Maroons held Tuscola to just two points in the first quarter and refused to allow easy looks all night, forcing tough shots and controlling the paint.

After the game, head coach Josh Williams credited the team’s identity on the defensive end, noting that defense has always been their calling card, but praised the growing offensive contributions as well.

Anderson and Dempsey led the way with 17 points each, while Cluver added 13 to round out a strong night for the Maroons.

With their 13th straight win now in the books, the Clinton Lady Maroons continue to prove they are one of the hottest teams around. The question now is simple: who will be the team to stop them?
