Rockets Holiday Podium Landing

The Rochester Rockets capped off their run in the 2025 State Farm Holiday Tournament with a strong performance, defeating the Metea Valley Mustangs 50–40 to secure third place on Monday night at Bloomington High School.

Tip-off was set for 7:30 p.m. on December 29, and both teams delivered four quarters of high-level basketball in a game that stayed competitive from start to finish. Rochester set the tone early with disciplined, aggressive defense, consistently disrupting Metea Valley’s offensive rhythm. That pressure paid off, as the Rockets turned multiple Mustang turnovers into valuable points on the other end.

As the game progressed, Rochester found its groove and built a steady lead. Once ahead, the Rockets showed composure and control, refusing to let Metea Valley mount a serious comeback. Their defensive intensity never wavered, and they continued to capitalize on mistakes to maintain separation down the stretch.

When the final buzzer sounded, the Rockets had locked in a 50–40 victory, earning the third-place trophy in the 2025 State Farm Holiday Classic. The win served as a strong finish to the tournament and a confidence boost for Rochester heading deeper into the season.
