Rams Overmatched in Regional Loss to Maroa-Forsyth

The Rams faced a tough road test in the opening round of regional play, running into a strong Maroa-Forsyth squad and falling 83–31. Despite the lopsided final score, the young Rams continued to compete throughout the night, gaining valuable postseason experience while showing flashes of growth and determination against a seasoned opponent.

The game opened on a competitive note, as Owen Beyers calmly stepped to the free-throw line and tied the contest at 2–2 with a pair of clutch makes. Maroa-Forsyth quickly answered, however, going on a 15-point run that created early separation. The Rams worked to settle in, with Gabe Georges providing a boost on offense by knocking down a field goal and finishing the night with an efficient shooting performance.

Aiden Hardy led the Rams with 10 points, staying aggressive throughout the game and consistently looking for scoring opportunities. Owen Beyers turned in a strong all-around effort with 7 points, shooting a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line and 1-for-1 from beyond the arc. Gabe Georges added 6 points on 3-for-6 shooting, while Brady Brinkoetter and Brady Clark each contributed 2 points.

The fourth quarter highlighted the Rams’ depth and future potential, as the coaching staff was able to get extended minutes for the entire roster. Karson Bruns, Ayson Fisher, and Brady Brinkoetter each found the basket late, providing positive moments to close out the game.

While the outcome favored the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans, the night served as an important step forward for the Rams. Competing against a high-level opponent in a postseason environment offered valuable lessons, reinforcing the foundation being built for the seasons ahead.
