After a quiet start offensively, Rochester found its rhythm in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Sean Plessa delivered the biggest swing of the night, launching a two-run home run to left field that gave the Rockets a 5-3 lead. Defensively, Rochester had its moments, highlighted by a key double play that helped halt a Mahomet-Seymour rally. Despite a few errors, the Rockets made the plays they needed late to preserve the lead.
Mahomet-Seymour showed fight throughout, including a solo home run in the sixth inning that briefly tied the game. However, Rochester’s immediate response in the bottom half proved decisive.
