Clinton controlled the tempo from the opening tip and never trailed, holding off a late surge to secure a 63–48 win over Tri-Valley on Friday night.
The Maroons set the tone early, building a steady lead through strong ball movement and defensive pressure. Clinton carried momentum throughout the first half and entered the locker room with confidence after stretching the advantage to double digits late in the second quarter.
Coming out of halftime, Clinton looked sharp on both ends of the floor. A strong third-quarter run pushed the lead to around 10 points, as the Maroons continued to capitalize on transition opportunities and force tough looks defensively.
Tri-Valley refused to go quietly, however. The Vikings chipped away in the fourth quarter, briefly cutting into Clinton’s cushion and threatening to swing momentum. Despite the push, Clinton stayed composed, answering with timely baskets and key stops down the stretch to regain control and close out the win.
Keaton Graves once again delivered a standout performance, showing up in a big way and leading the charge for the Maroons. His consistent scoring and presence on the floor played a crucial role in keeping Clinton ahead throughout the night.
With the 63–48 victory, Clinton proved its ability to maintain control, respond under pressure, and finish strong—even when tested late.
