Austin Ulmer Erupts as Shelbyville Rolls Past CAM 18-4

Shelbyville wasted no time taking control and never looked back in a dominant 18-4 win over CAM Raiders 2026 Varsity.

CAM struck first in the top of the 1st, getting on the board with aggressive baserunning and a clutch RBI single from Kadyn Higgins, scoring Zachary Snow to take a 2-0 lead. But that momentum didn’t last long.

In the bottom of the 1st, Shelbyville answered immediately. Austin Ulmer crushed a three-run home run to flip the game and give Shelbyville a 4-2 lead, bringing home Brady Brinkoetter and Rylan Murphy.

The second inning is where Shelbyville blew things wide open. Austin Ulmer stayed hot with another home run, again scoring Rylan Murphy. Jack Clark added an RBI single, while Brady Clark reached on an error that brought in two more runs. Rylan Murphy later doubled to drive in Brady Brinkoetter, and continued defensive struggles allowed Shelbyville to extend the lead to 14-2.

CAM showed some life in the top of the 3rd when Marshall Minott launched a two-run home run, scoring Parker Elliott to make it 14-4.

But Shelbyville had the answer once again. In the bottom half, Austin Ulmer capped off a monster performance with yet another home run, and Rylan Murphy added a two-run single to bring home Tyler Gilman and Wyatt Montgomery, pushing the lead to 18-4.

Shelbyville’s offense was relentless, piling up 13 hits and capitalizing on multiple CAM errors. On the mound, Will Stirrett delivered a strong complete game performance, striking out seven and keeping CAM in check after the early innings.
