It was a proud day for Rochester High School as several standout student-athletes officially took the next step in their academic and athletic journeys, signing to continue their careers at the collegiate level on April 14.
Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and teammates, six RHS seniors were recognized for their hard work and dedication, earning opportunities to compete at the next level.
Leading the group is Ajay Runkel, who will continue his baseball career at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS). Runkel has been a key contributor on the diamond, known for his consistency and leadership.
Joining him in baseball is Jorey Myren, who signed with Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC). Myren’s development and commitment to the game have made him a valuable asset, and he now looks to make his mark at the collegiate level.
On the track, RHS will send two talented athletes forward. Tristan Stanton will compete for the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, bringing his speed and determination to a strong program. Kierra Browning will also head to UIS for track, continuing her success after an impressive high school career.
In soccer, Alaina Stock signed with UIS, where she will take her skills to the next level after being a standout performer for the Rockets.
Rounding out the group is Khorbin Gregory, who will continue his football career at Monmouth College. Gregory’s toughness and work ethic have defined his time at RHS, and he is poised to succeed at the next level.
This signing class represents not only athletic talent but also years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment in the classroom and in competition. Each athlete has left a lasting impact on Rochester High School and will carry that legacy forward into their college careers.
