The Pana Panthers girls basketball team battled the Litchfield Purple Panthers in a contest that opened with plenty of energy and competitiveness before swinging in Litchfield’s favor as the game wore on.
Early on, both teams traded baskets and matched each other’s intensity, keeping the score within reach and setting the tone for a physical, fast-paced matchup. Pana showed effort on both ends of the floor, but as the game progressed, Litchfield began to assert control.
The Purple Panthers turned up the defensive pressure, forcing multiple turnovers and converting steals into quick points in transition. That defensive spark fueled their offense, allowing them to steadily extend their lead and dictate the tempo of the game.
Pana continued to compete, but struggled to keep pace with Litchfield’s quick offensive execution and relentless defense. With Litchfield controlling most of the game, comeback opportunities were limited for the Panthers.
In the end, Litchfield’s balance on both sides of the ball proved to be the difference, as the Purple Panthers pulled away for a 53–30 victory.
