RailSplitters Hold Off Tornadoes in Tough Road Battle

The Taylorville Tornadoes faced off against the Lincoln RailSplitters in a close, hard-fought matchup, but Lincoln was able to stay in front from start to finish.

The RailSplitters jumped out to a slim 14–9 lead after the first quarter and continued to build momentum heading into halftime, extending their advantage to 28–18. Taylorville came out of the locker room with renewed energy and determination, tightening up defensively and cutting into Lincoln’s lead with a strong third-quarter effort.

The Tornadoes refused to go away, making a spirited push in the fourth quarter and putting pressure on the RailSplitters down the stretch. However, time ultimately worked against them, and Lincoln’s steady play allowed them to maintain control.

Despite Taylorville’s late comeback attempt, the RailSplitters held on to secure the victory, closing out the game with a 46–37 win.
