The Illinois High School Activities Foundation has announced its 2026 scholarship recipients, and South Fork High School senior Alyvia Mulvaney is among the select group honored statewide.
Mulvaney, representing South Fork in Kincaid, was named the Division 6 recipient, earning a $1,000 scholarship to support her future education. She stands as the only recipient from her division, highlighting both her achievements and her commitment to continuing involvement in education-based activities.
The IHSAF scholarship is awarded to seniors at Illinois High School Association member schools who plan to make an impact in education, coaching, or officiating. Applicants must either intend to major in education, pursue coaching after high school, or already be licensed and working as an IHSA official.
Mulvaney’s recognition places her among 14 total winners across Illinois, all selected for their dedication to high school activities and their desire to give back to the next generation.
“The goal of the IHSAF is to support the mission of the IHSA, and that mission cannot be achieved without the next generation of educators, coaches, and officials,” said Dr. Robert Nolting, IHSAF Board President. “We are incredibly proud to present scholarships to these deserving young people.”
Recipients were selected in part through video submissions, where each student shared how high school activities shaped their journey and inspired their future goals.
The scholarship program is supported through donations and honors the legacies of lifelong educators Ron McGraw and Mike Nissen, both of whom made lasting contributions to Illinois high school athletics and education.
The Illinois High School Activities Foundation continues to expand its impact, raising funds through events like its annual golf outing and community contributions to invest in the future of education-based athletics.
For South Fork and the Kincaid community, Mulvaney’s achievement is a proud moment—one that reflects both her hard work and her commitment to making a difference beyond high school.
