Rochester Soccer traveled to Williamsville on Wednesday night looking to rebound, but neither team could find the back of the net as the two sides battled to a 0-0 draw.
Rochester created plenty of opportunities throughout the night, finishing with 18 shots, including 11 on goal, but couldn’t find the breakthrough.
The Rockets had a golden opportunity with 25 minutes remaining in the first half when Grant Kutscher drew a penalty. Kutscher stepped up to take the chance, but his attempt struck the left post and stayed out.
Williamsville quickly responded with a chance of its own, but Rochester goalkeeper Jack Mitchelle came up with a big save to keep the match scoreless.
The second half continued to feature chances on both sides, but Rochester couldn’t capitalize. Rochester’s Kaileb Batchelder got his head on a ball toward goal, only for the attempt to be blocked by his own teammate.
Williamsville nearly broke through as well. Ethen Dubois-Smith ripped a shot that struck the crossbar before Owen Patton followed with another attempt that hit the post.
Despite the numerous chances, neither side could find the back of the net. Rochester was also handed two yellow cards during the match.

It was a night where both teams will leave wondering how they didn’t find at least one goal, as missed opportunities, big saves and the posts kept the match scoreless.
