Finch Delivers Game-Winning Hit and Double Play as Bombers Stun Clinton -

The Argenta-Oreana Bombers battled back Wednesday night to earn a 3-2 win over the Clinton Maroons behind timely hitting and strong pitching.

Clinton struck first in the opening inning when Brock Wilson reached on an error that allowed Stone Stith to score and later came around after Ryan Pine delivered an RBI double to right field to make it 2-0.

Argenta-Oreana answered in the fifth inning as Brycen Cameron stole second before Jaxon Finch lined a single into center field to cut the deficit to 2-1.

The Bombers delivered the game-winning rally later in the game when Finch came through again with a line-drive single. Cameron scored to tie the game, and Ashton Sample crossed the plate on the play to give Argenta-Oreana a 3-2 lead. Finch was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a double, but the damage had already been done.

Carter Logue was dominant on the mound for the Bombers, tossing six innings while allowing just two runs — both unearned — on five hits while striking out eight. Landon Jackson closed the door in the seventh inning to secure the win.
