Mt. Pulaski High School senior Clay Leonard, a passion for clay target shooting has turned into a collegiate opportunity. Leonard officially signed to compete on the clay target team at Blackburn College following a successful career with the Hilltoppers.
During his time at Mt. Pulaski, Leonard competed in multiple state tournaments while also helping grow one of Illinois’ newer high school sports. His dedication to the sport and commitment to improving helped make an impact on the program both on and off the range.
As he prepares for the next chapter at Blackburn, Leonard says he is excited for the new challenges and adventures that come with competing at the collegiate level.
Leonard also made sure to recognize the person who helped him most along the way — his dad. He thanked him for always being there, teaching him the sport, and constantly motivating him to strive for success.
