Hilltoppers Fall to St. Teresa in Pink Out

Mt. Pulaski hosted St. Teresa Monday night for a Pink Out matchup, with the Hilltoppers looking to get back into the win column.

Mt. Pulaski came out battling in the opening set, keeping pace with St. Teresa throughout the frame. The Hilltoppers leaned on strong defensive play, including several key digs from Eva Leonard, who finished the night with 17 digs.

Despite the defensive effort, St. Teresa held on late to take the opening set 25-23.

The second set proved to be a different story, as St. Teresa found its rhythm and pulled away early. The Bulldogs went on to take the second set 25-9, putting the Hilltoppers in a tough position.

Offensively, Audrey Cooper led the way for Mt. Pulaski with 5 kills, while Leonard continued to anchor the Hilltoppers defensively.

Mt. Pulaski battled throughout the night as they continue their push through the heart of the season.
