Pana used a strong middle innings push to defeat Taylorville 5-2.
Taylorville struck first in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly from G Rogers and an RBI single by M Richardson to take a 2-0 lead.
Pana answered in the second when Norah Kingery tripled to bring in a run and cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Panthers took control in the third. Jolianna Morrison tied the game with an RBI double, Addasyn Casner followed with another RBI double to give Pana the lead, and a dropped third strike allowed another run to score, making it 4-2.
Pana added insurance in the fourth when Kennedy Bowker lined an RBI single to extend the lead to 5-2.
Joey Laker handled the rest in the circle, going the distance and allowing two runs while striking out three.
