The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) has announced its Coaches of the Year, recognizing outstanding leadership and success across the state during the high school basketball season.
Among those honored are several coaches from the ILSportsWire coverage area, highlighting the strength of local programs and the impact these leaders have made on their teams and communities.
Coaches will be formally recognized at the annual Coach of the Year Luncheon on Saturday, May 2 at CEFCU Arena on the campus of Illinois State University.
Boys Coaches from the area include:
- Tim Martin — Warrensburg-Latham
- Vic Binkley — Clinton
- Tony Gavin — Rochester
Each coach played a key role in guiding their program to a successful season, earning recognition from peers across Illinois.
The IBCA Coach of the Year honor is one of the highest distinctions in Illinois high school basketball, celebrating not only wins on the court but also leadership, development, and dedication to student-athletes.
